The 25 Days of Christmas kicks into full gear this Tuesday, with the valley of the sun exploding with events!
11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. and 5 to 11 P.M.: CitySkate at CityScape
The Phoenix area gets its own outside ice skating rink to go along with the large Christmas tree for a sixth straight year, and valley residents can celebrate the holidays with it. The event also has music, live snowfall, and some guy named Santa might even make an appearance. The event costs $12 during the day and $15 during the night; for more information call 602-772-3900.
7 P.M.: Gini Kock Book Signing at the Poisoned Pen
Phoenix writer Gini Koch is known for her work on the Alien books, which feature extraterrestrial beings regularly co-mingling with Earthlings. She’s on hand at the Poisoned Pen book store to sign the latest copy of the series, Alien in Chief. The event is free, but the book costs $7.95 and for more information call 480-947-2974.
2 P.M.: A Christmas Carol at Arizona Broadway Theatre
The Arizona Broadway Theatre brings this beloved classic to life, with all the signature quirks, except in musical form. The score was written by Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens, the songwriters behind Disney classics like Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast. Tickets start at $62.50 and for more information call 623-776-8400.
